From Beth: “When the pandemic began, I was interested in how a new vocabulary had entered our daily conversations. We now had common terms to discuss this devastating virus. These terms were being used worldwide.

During the pandemic, much of this vocabulary has become political and divisive.

I had finished the block before vaccine had become the most divisive word of all.

I found my daily sewing time relaxing and almost meditative. It helped me process my sad and angry feelings to do this calming stitching. Working on a collaborative project, helped me feel less isolated as I sheltered at home.”
